FocusCrew Is Now on Apple's App Store

FocusCrew comes to the App Store
FocusCrew is now on Apple's App Store for iPhone, as FocusCrew: Focus with Friends.[1] If you already use FocusCrew on the web, the same planner, timer, and crews now live on your phone too. If you're new, you can find and install it from the store you already use for iPhone apps. The name sums up the idea behind the product: focused work feels easier when you know other people are showing up too. For our small team in Berlin, this is a big release. Thank you to everyone who tested FocusCrew, sent us feedback, joined a crew, or came back for another session.
One connected place for planning and focus
We built FocusCrew to make it easier to get from deciding what matters to actually starting it, and the iPhone app keeps that idea. It brings together a planner for to-dos, a Pomodoro timer, habit tracking, crews, and visible progress such as XP, levels, streaks, and badges.[2][3] Your plan, your timer, and the people keeping you company sit in one app, so you don't have to juggle three. Choose a task if you have one, start a session, and let the timer give that block a clear beginning and end. You can track habits next to your work and watch finished sessions add to your progress. You don't have to use every tool at once. Start with whichever one fixes the friction you feel today.
Start from your phone
For a lot of people, the phone is where a spare ten minutes turns up: before class, between appointments, or at the end of a long day when a big project feels hard to approach. Open FocusCrew from your home screen and pick a small action while the moment is there. You might add a task, start a short focus block, or check what you'd planned to do next. The timer has several session lengths as well as open-ended focus, so the block can fit the task.[2][3] Five minutes is often enough to get you from meaning to start to actually starting. The iPhone app uses the same FocusCrew account as the website, so if you're already a member, just sign in and carry on with your existing routine and data.[4] That helps on days that move between a laptop and a phone: check a to-do, start a session, or rejoin your crew from whichever device is closer.
Focus with people without turning it into a call
Crews are where the name comes from. A small group focuses at the same time, each person on their own task, so a study session or writing block has company without anyone needing to talk. This kind of body doubling is camera-free in FocusCrew. There's no video, audio, or screen sharing. Crew members can see that you're focusing and for how long, but not what's on your screen, and the app doesn't need access to your camera.[3] Your tasks, notes, and habits are private by default, and your task titles stay hidden unless you choose to label a session or share a project.[3][4] You work alongside other people, and the work itself stays yours. Our guide to camera-free body doubling explains how quiet shared presence can support a routine without turning focus into a meeting. As with any app, take a moment to review the permissions you grant and the privacy information before you connect your account.
Keep the tools that help and leave the rest
Your routine can stay simple: open a timer, pick a task, or join a crew. When it helps, a plan can lead into a focus session, the session adds to your progress, and a habit makes repetition easier to see. When a tool doesn't help, leave it aside. Our overview of the planner, Pomodoro timer, habits, and crews walks through how the parts fit together. The article on gamification explains what XP, badges, and streaks are for. They make your effort visible and are there to encourage useful work. Nobody needs to turn their day into a competition.
Try FocusCrew on your next small task
You can download FocusCrew from Apple's App Store now.[1] If you're new, start with one clear next action and a session length that feels manageable. If you already use FocusCrew, sign in and see how the iPhone app fits the way you plan, focus, and work with others. Use it on your own, and add a crew if the company helps you get going. You don't need a perfect streak or a timer running every minute. A rhythm you can come back to is enough. We'd love to hear what helps you focus with the app.
