FocusCrew

Getting started

What the API and the connector are, who can use them, and your first call in three steps.

FocusCrew has a public API and an MCP connector. With an API key you can use your account from your own scripts, and from AI assistants such as Claude Code, Claude Desktop and Cursor: your to-dos, projects, labels, habits, notes, flashcards and focus time. Both are part of Pro and Max.

Your first call, in three steps

  1. Be on Pro or Max. Keys are part of those plans; a Free account sees the card but cannot make one.
  2. Make a key. In the app, open Settings → Integrations → API keys, press New key and name it after what will use it (“Claude Code on my laptop”). The key starts with fc_live_ and is shown once — copy it then. You can hold up to 5 keys and revoke any of them at any time.
  3. Make a call. Send the key as a Bearer token:
    curl https://www.focus-crew.com/api/v1/me \
      -H "Authorization: Bearer fc_live_…"
The answer is your id, name, plan and time zone — and proof the key works.
