What's new in October 2026

Everything that changed in FocusCrew in October 2026: 57 updates to the planner, habits, focus timer, notes and crews.

    A calmer Rearrange mode

While you rearrange the Dashboard the page dims, so the cards you are moving stand out. Show or hide cards opens as a panel from the side, with the page still in view, so you can watch a card arrive.

On Focus, the project picker shows each project's icon.

Every tool one click away, and pictures of your cards

Inside Notes, Planner, Settings and Admin the menu now stays beside the page as a strip of icons, so every tool is one click away. The menus read a little larger too.

Show or hide cards shows a small picture of each Dashboard card instead of a name — tap one to show or hide it.

In Notes, All notes and a folder can be sorted newest first or A–Z, and long lists draw as you scroll. Charts in Farsi sit on their lines again.

Notes from a template, and your name on shared badges

Start a note from a template — study notes, meeting notes, a brain dump, a weekly review and more. It opens with the headings ready and a hint under each.

When you share a badge you earned, the page now says it was you.

Two new Dashboard cards, and Planner

Two new cards for your Dashboard: today's top 7 focusers, and how many flashcards you studied on each of the last 7 days. Turn them on from the cards button, now grouped by tool.

The Shortcuts card can hold one, two, three or four shortcuts, and the Dashboard can be the page that opens after you sign in.

Plan is now called Planner, and Your tools only shows or hides tools.

Flashcards, a Dashboard with shortcuts, and a menu down the side

Flashcards are here: decks, the five Anki card types, study that brings each card back just before you would forget it, Anki import and export as plain text, and "Add to flashcards" on text in a note.

Your cards have their own page, the Dashboard, with a new Shortcuts card for four notes, folders, decks or projects. Focus is now just the timer and your background.

On a computer or tablet every tool sits in a menu down the side of the page. Fold it to a strip of icons when you want the room.

Notes: formulas, tags, right-click menus and a better graph

Write maths with LaTeX in a formula block, tag notes with their own tags (your labels on notes were copied over), and right-click in a note for cut, copy, paste, formatting or inserting a heading, list, table or formula.

The graph has a side panel for the background and folder boxes — folders inside folders are drawn inside each other — and exports a PNG.

The notes list resizes, Recently Deleted lets you select notes and delete them for good, long titles wrap on a phone, and the direction buttons show which way a line runs.

  • NewWeb 0.167.0

Notes: tabs, a Highlights view and a folder tree

Open several notes side by side in tabs, and keep a graph open in a tab of its own while you jump into the notes it shows. Right-click a note or a folder to see its graph or everything you have highlighted in it, gathered as quotes.

The notes list is now one tree: folders open onto their notes, and you can pin folders as well as notes to the top. Right-click a table to add rows and columns or delete it.

Persian notes and lists sit right to left — in previews, list bullets and a line you set yourself — and Tight spacing is tighter.

Questions and answers for the ADHD Toolbox

The ADHD Toolbox has its own FAQ: who picks the resources, what ADHD is, why body doubling and short timed sessions help some people, and how the self-check works. The front page of the toolbox shows five of the answers.

Download your data, Google Calendar for everyone, and chat reactions

Save a copy of everything you added as one zip from Settings → Account, and connect Google Calendar on any plan.

React to crew messages and edit your own, and use a more compact to-do form where Repeat works without a date first.

Achievements tells you more about your rhythm, lets you hide any slice of the label chart, and filters badges by earned, next up and not yet.

Archived to-dos on the calendar, and a tidier What’s new

Plan’s Calendar view now shows your archived to-dos on their day too, so a week you look back on still has everything you finished.

What’s new is grouped by month, with a page for each month, a sticker for what kind of change it is and the version it arrived in.

Hide single slices on Report charts

On Plan’s Report view, tap a row under a pie chart to take that slice out of the chart, and tap it again to bring it back. Each chart remembers your choice.

Adding a note to a locked folder now asks for your notes PIN first, instead of stopping.

Due to-dos move to Now by themselves

Every day just after midnight, to-dos due today or with a date that has passed move to Now, so the day starts with them in front of you.

Move one back and it stays there until tomorrow. Settings → Plan has a switch if you would rather move them yourself.

“/” commands and emoji in notes, and more time for “Still there?”

Type / in a note for a quick list of commands — headings, lists, a quote, a table, links to your to-dos and notes, emoji.

The note toolbar has an emoji button: search, tap, and it lands where you were typing — on the website and in the app.

After 90 minutes of focus you now have ten minutes to say you’re still there, and your browser gets a notification if the tab is in the background.

    Repeating to-dos

Give a to-do with a due date a Repeat rule — every few days, weeks (on the weekdays you pick), months or years. Finish it and the next one appears, due on its next date.

Ticked by mistake? Move it back out of Finished and the new copy goes away again.

Mark a habit done, and tidier notes

A habit’s ⋯ menu has Mark as done: it fills the rest of the goal in one press, timer habits included.

In Notes, drag across notes to select several and move or delete them together, use the + on a folder for a new note inside it, and empty Recently Deleted in one go.

Thirteen new badges for XP and levels

Two new shelves on the Badges tab: XP milestones from 10 to 25,000 XP, and levels 1, 5, 10, 25 and 50.

If you already had the XP, the badges are yours now. Look for them in Achievements.

Tables and a graph in Notes

Notes can hold tables: insert one from the toolbar, then add rows and columns as you go.

Right-click a folder or All notes for a graph of how your notes link together, or export one folder on its own. Up on a note’s first line goes to its title.

    Achievements, with personal insights

Analytics and Badges are now two tabs of one Achievements page, in your account menu. Projects is called Projects & labels.

A Personal insights card says when you focus best: the part of the day, your strongest two hours and your best weekday. Ticking a step in a to-do now saves at once.

    Block someone in crew chat

From a chat message’s menu you can now block a person: their messages are hidden from you, and you stay in the same crews. They are never told.

Settings → Privacy lists the people you blocked. Some offensive words are hidden automatically, and every report reaches us the same day.

Drag notes into folders, from the gallery and the app

Drag a note from the gallery onto a folder, as from the list. In the phone app, rest a finger on a note and move it onto a folder, or onto the bar above to move it up.

Folders in Notes and stacks in your Projects list now start folded; the one you are in opens by itself.

Fairer boards: “Still there?” and a 14-hour day

Long sessions now ask “Still there?” after every 90 minutes of focus. Tap “I’m here” within five minutes and nothing changes; with no answer, the session counts up to the question.

An Ultimate session nobody checks on is treated as left behind after two hours instead of four.

From 15 October each day counts up to 14 hours on the boards. Anything beyond still counts in your own stats, level and XP.

    Persian digits in Farsi

    Finished to-dos are crossed out

Comments on to-dos, and several people on one

Open a to-do to leave a comment; its creator and everyone on it hear about it. A to-do can now be for several people, and each gets its reminder.

File a note in a project to share it with the project, and filter your notes by label or project.

A calmer /focus to start: To Do with this week by label under it, the timer, habit progress and the calendar, on a plain background. The To Do card shows seven at a time.

    Quieter scrollbars

Scrollbars across FocusCrew are now a thin grey line that darkens when you point at it, instead of the browser’s wide bar.

Lock notes with a PIN, link notes together, import files

Lock a note or a folder with a PIN: it shows only its title until you open it. Import Markdown, text or Word files, and pick a folder to see its notes as tiles.

Link notes to each other, see a note’s headings beside it, set line spacing, press Enter in a title to start writing, and add a folder inside a folder.

"Focus on this task" sets the timer to the to-do’s time estimate. Also: an analog clock, a minimum for crew challenges, 50 MB music tracks, and tabs that follow a pause or stop.

Choose your tools, now as cards

The screen where you pick your tools — on your first visit and from the account menu — is a grid of cards: an icon, the name, one line on what each tool does, and a check in the corner.

Tap a card to switch a tool on or off; the line under the grid counts how many are on.

A gallery of your notes, and a list that folds away

On Notes, while no note is open, the right side shows the notes of the folder you picked as tiles — a tap opens one, and a right-click gives the same menu as the list.

The list folds to a thin strip on a laptop so a note gets the whole width, Export all notes sits at the foot of the list, and on a phone the formatting bar is compact with an "Aa" button for the rest.

A small word now sits under every icon in the header and the bottom bar.

  • NewWeb 0.142.0

Project stacks, folder colours and a few things you asked for

On Plan, drop a project onto another in the Projects list to stack them, or right-click one and choose Add to a stack; a stack can be renamed, folded, dragged up and down, and picked to see every to-do across its projects.

When you upload a profile or crew picture you now choose which square of it to keep; folders in Notes take an icon and a colour; a to-do's link shows as a clickable link; the header and the phone's bottom bar show icons only.

Focus has a small Calendar card and a + on the Note card, another member's page shows the same streak, XP, gems and badges yours does, and every open FocusCrew tab says when your session finished.

  • ImprovedWeb 0.141.0

    A calmer, white FocusCrew

The light theme is white now, with softer text, quieter corners and less empty space around everything — the same features, closer together.

On Focus, Rearrange cards lets you make any card half as wide, so two small cards share a row. Music, theme and language sit behind one icon in the header.

Crews hold up to twenty people, the Eisenhower matrix shows ten to-dos per quadrant before "Show more", and the timer tabs read in your language.

    Notes, a new tool

Write notes in folders, with headings, lists, quotes, colours, highlights and links to your to-dos. Persian text reads right to left on its own, and you can set the direction of any part yourself.

Search, label, pin and drag your notes into folders, keep one beside your timer on Focus, and right-click any note to rename, duplicate, share or move it — deleted ones wait 30 days in Recently Deleted.

Share a note by link, or with FocusCrew members and private crews to view or edit, and export one note or all of them as Markdown, a web page, Word, plain text or PDF.
